Stop Phoenix Air's shameful death flights

Phoenix Air Group was recently contracted by Novartis to transport a group of 23 yellow Vervets monkeys from Barbados, where they were caught in the wild, to an animal testing facility in Italy. News about the transport leaked out and the flight which was supposed to land in Rome Fiumicino on August 1, 2012 was cancelled the day before out of fear for bad press.

However, Novartis is still trying to get the 23 monkeys into Italy in the next few days, making them land abroad and taking them into Italy by unmarked vans.

It's the second time this year that Novartis cancels an order of primates for experimentation. Just like now, it was enough that news about a transport in March leaked out and became public domain. For that very reason, airlines such as Amerijet, Caribbean Airlines, Choice Airways, Monarch Air and others have stopped transporting primates for vivisection from the islands of the Caribbean.

Please contact the Director of Phoenix Air, Mark H. Thompson, and ask him to stop transporting animals for vivisection (including this transport)! Simply fill in the form on the right and click 'Send'. You can also edit the letter to your liking - personal letters carry much more weight and prove more effective than form letters.
